Thank you for this. As someone who has been chasing a narrow-viewed dream of imagination for literally most of my life, this blog and your work have helped me grow into more holistic being. I still grieve over my experience of aphantasia, which when I came across the word and the poisoned apple meme sent me down a path of habitual psychedelic use for years. Now as I pause to look back, I felt diminished as I imagined(!) how large the world was outside of my experience. Well, I still dream. I still imagine, now with an expanded framework of acceptance and attention. Thank you again :)
Ahhh Scott. I'm sorry it's taken me a while to reply -- I'm often slow at communication. This comment delighted and thrilled me and I've carried it round like a little jewel all week. Thank you. It means more than you can know to know that anything I've written has helped you to connect to your imagination. From what you've written here, I can tell that your imagination is huge and generous and has gifts for us all. I hope you're still dreaming. Thanks again for writing.
It’s a pleasure Ellie, I always enjoy your pieces. You counterpoint my imaginative experience from a feminine perspective. You might like my article this week on Bowie. I love Hildergaard. So looking forward to that.
I really enjoyed this. Thanks.
Thank you for reading, David! And for all the support these past months.
